Don't get scammed!
Unfortunately there's a lot of unscrupulous sellers on eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Shopee, AliExpress, Alibaba, Lazada and the like that are looking to ruin your day at best—and ruin your engine at the worst.
"It looks the same.
Can there really be that big of difference?"
Absolutely! Read on…

Protect Yourself, your wallet and your engine.
While a genuine Moto Tassinari VForce reed valve system and a counterfeit may look similar, the performance and durability couldn't be further apart. Below are some of the main differences and failure points of a counterfeit VForce reed valve.
INFERIOR REED PETALS:
Moto Tassinari spends countless hours testing different reed petal combinations based on layup, tension, weave direction, cut angle and more. We continually test in everything from 50cc minibikes to turbocharged snowmobiles, because we know they all have different needs when it comes to reed petals. We have always strived to find the perfect balance of superior performance backed by increased durability over stock offerings. While counterfeit valves on the other hand consistently underperform due to the use of generic reed petals with mismatched reed tension that are prone to breakage.
WEAK COMPOSITE REED CAGE:
With almost 30 years of experience manufacturing reed valves using injection molding technology we dare say we know a thing or two and fully understand the stresses placed on a reed valve while in use and how to compensate for that in manufacturing. The composites used in our reed valves have continually been refined over the years, allowing us to confidently offer a product that stands up to the rigors of high-performance engines in a wide variety of uses and conditions.
The same cannot be said for the counterfeit reed valves we've seen, as they appear to be an extremely weak composite. The result is a reed cage prone to catastrophic failure in a variety of areas, none of which are good for your cylinder, crank or engine.
POOR PETAL RETENTION:
Our "screw-free design" owes much of it's success to the patented technology of our reed petal retention. The unique design removed the need for any screws in the entire assembly. The advantages of a "screw-free design" make changing reed petals literally a "SNAP" and removes all worry of a screw entering the cylinder or crankcase. We've lost count of the number of counterfeit reed valves we've received pictures of with the center retaining bar completely blown out, allowing composite cage pieces and carbon fiber petal pieces to enter the crankcase and possibly the cylinder causing costly damage.
PREPARE TO GET GHOSTED:
We'll be the first the admit the counterfeit VForce copies can look quite similar to the untrained eye, however that's where all similarities end. It's one thing to look the part, it's entirely another to actually perform. The counterfeiters only goal was to make the counterfeit copy (and all packaging) resemble an authentic VForce closely enough to trick the consumer into parting with their hard earned money. When, not if, the counterfeit reed valve fails expect to get zero help from the seller. Most of these sellers simply change their seller name and move on the moment they are reported as selling counterfeits. You won't get a refund and you certainly won't get any assistance paying for damaged engine parts as the result of the counterfeit valve disintegrating
